After receiving asylum in Poland, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya is giving again to her neighborhood.
The Olympic sprinter, who alleged she would face punishment if she returned to her native Belarus as a result of she criticized her coaches on social media, has determined to public sale off considered one of her “most valuable” belongings. She’s going to put the silver medal she received on the 2019 European Video games on the public sale block with a view to increase cash for the Belarusian Sport Solidarity Basis (BSSF), in response to an e-mail from the group to Yahoo Sports activities.
Per the BSSF’s web site, sports activities officers and athletes created the inspiration in August 2020, with founding members together with Olympic medalists. The location says their purpose is to “present help to the athletes who have been detained and confronted repressions for participating in peaceable manifestations, excluded from the nationwide groups, scratched from competitions, sacked, or stripped from stipends or salaries for expressing their political beliefs.”
On eBay, the medal has already obtained a bid of greater than $20,000 with 9 days to go.
